Halloween Q&A with Honors Professors
Abigail Palotas and Scott Zanella
Dr. Gonwa: “I was never allowed to dress up for Halloween when I was a kid, but when I was in college, a group of friends and I dressed up as the characters from the board game Clue. Except we didn’t have a Mr. Green, so we carried his card around and asked people if they had seen him. I was Mrs. White.”
“My favorite Halloween candy is probably Atomic Fireballs.”
Dr. Mukherjee: “My favorite costume was Zorro, and my favorite candy is KitKats.”
Dr. Ranney: “My favorite costume as a kid was a lion costume that my mom made. I think I was 4 or 5.”
“My favorite candy is the fun size snickers, although I also like to take the fun size Milky Ways and freeze them.”
Dr. Wolfe: “A couple of years ago I went as Inigo Montoya and my partner went as Fezzik. We went to the Film Festival Halloween party and ran into a couple dressed as Buttercup and the Man in Black. Totally not planned!”
“I love all Halloween candy, especially anything pumpkin spice ( I know, I know), but my favorite is always peanut butter cups.”
Dr. Kerr: “My mom never let us buy costumes, so we made do with what was in the house---I suppose I did the best with my Hobo outfit (a transient who rides the rails, think Grapes of Wrath).”
Dr. Kerr’s favorite candy is Mallo cups!
Dr. Caulfield: “My best costume was when my friend’s mother painted my face to look like Gene Simmons of “KISS.’”
“The best candy is definitely 3 Musketeers. Happy Halloween!”
