The event occurred in room 029 in the library. Conveniently placed next to the STEM and Writing Tutoring centers, students could get the help they needed as soon as they needed it. This central location also allowed commuters and residents alike to enjoy the time devoted to their schoolwork.

By providing its students a common place to come together and complete their schoolwork, the Honors Program creates more cohesivity in their ranks. It allows students to work alongside other students, thus fostering a community with more camaraderie and fellowship. Freshmen worked with upperclassmen and everyone came out of it for the better.

With the first round of tests coming through, students need a place to go to where they can study and really focus on their work. That is why on Thursday, February 6th, members of the Honors program came together in the basement of the library for the Honors Study Night. Throughout the two-hour long event, over 50 honors students came to work on homework, labs, and other assignments.

Halfway through the night, pizza was delivered to the room, and the five Little Caesar’s pizzas were gone in the blink of an eye. If there is anything that will motivate broke college students to continue working hard, it is the promise of free pizza!
