For the second year in a row now, Gannon University has held a Run/Walk fundraiser. Organized by Chloe Adiutori and Ryan Popovich, co-chairs of the Honors Fundraising Committee, the fundraiser featured a race through campus and the surrounding area in order to raise money for Our West Bayfront, a local community service group that is dedicated to working around the clock in the local area near Gannon University. The fundraiser managed to raise a total of $120 for Our West Bayfront and hopefully, from now on, will continue to be an annually held event that is featured at Gannon University.

 

Continuing, last year’s winner of the race is also this year’s as Tim Edwards, another honors student here at Gannon took first place once again. Tim participated in the event so that he could donate to Our West Bayfront and so that he could have some fun showing off his amazing running skills. Running with all of his force, Tim had to push himself to the limits to win the race but in the end, he came out successful and spoke of the experience as “pretty awesome.”

Looking forward to the race once again next year, Tim is determined to keep training and to spread the word that fundraisers like these help our local communities.
