Local Fun for Everyone!

With summer and finals week quickly approaching, take a little time off with your friends and have some fun around Erie!
Want to get out in nature? Check out Presque Isle or Asbury Woods! With plenty of hiking trails and wildlife, they’re go-to spots for those who want to escape the classroom and get some fresh air.
Looking to get some sun once it warms up a little more? Head to the beaches! Go swimming, play volleyball, or just soak in the sun on the warm sand. There are even jet skis you can rent for the afternoon!
In the mood for a frozen treat? Check out Sara’s! Sara’s is a local favorite, known for their twist cones and curly fries. Nothing beats a twist cone after a day on the beach with friends! If you aren’t an ice cream fan or are lactose intolerant, give Rita’s a try! Although it’s not a local ice cream stand, they have the best Italian ice and custard in town.
These are just a few local things to try before going back home at the end of the semester (or throughout the summer for our commuter friends!). Good luck on finals, and make sure to take some time for yourself in the next few weeks.
