The Fundraising Committee is holding its first bake sale on March 17th in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day! This will be located in the Waldron Campus Center between 11am until 2pm with a variety of baked goods. There will also be Honors program stickers available to purchase. We will be accepting cash, Vemno, and GU Gold. All proceeds benefit Junior Philippe, a Haitian student that the Honors Program has been sponsoring for several years. Who is Junior Philippe?

Junior is a student that the Honors has been sponsoring for over a decade. He is from LaCroix, Haiti and speaks the language of Kreyole. Junior graduated from high school in June and is currently attending a school in Port au Prince to become an electrician (a high demand job in Haiti). Currently, he is struggling to make ends meet between tuition, books, and living expenses, even with the help from his family. The fundraising committee was formed this past year to help raise more funds to support the education of Junior Philippe.
