The 16th Annual Wellness Fair took place February 4th in the Recreation and Wellness Center. Many local vendors, clubs, and organizations from Gannon were represented, including the Honors Program. Tables featuring games, prizes, and free food filled the main gymnasium and field house. The fair exhibited multiple dimensions of wellness including social, physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual wellness. There were cooking demonstrations, workout classes, meditation opportunities, therapy dogs, and crafts.

The Honors Program was represented by the Honors Wellness Committee, chaired by Julia Koger and Emily Seggio. They incorporated both intellectual and physical wellness into their table. For the event, they played Just Dance. Julia said that they “hope[d] to promote fun movement and exercise to fulfill physical wellness… we talked about how it [Just Dance] is a quick study break and can be social, because it is fun to do with friends.” Activities such as this serve as a good mental break and can help alleviate stress that reduces productivity in the long run. The Honors Program was well represented at this event by the Wellness Committee.
